This has been a year of passings for our family and some dear friends. This summer we said farewell to our beloved “Pete”. Pete lived a wonderful life and was very spoiled! I am glad I have so many portraits of him, even though he was a reluctant “model”. We were lucky to be owned by him, he will be missed. Another friend said goodbye this year to Elly May, his companion of 14 years. Elly was a beautiful old Bloodhound, and spent many a warm summer afternoon sharing my lunch and keeping me company at work. I had the opportunity to draw her last spring wearing a nice pair of sunglasses, she was a great sport! We miss her very much. Our hearts are heavy, but we are glad to have our memories.
